In order to master the immunization status of bird flu and Newcastle disease in 4 regions(Guiyang,Tongren,Anshun and Xingyi) of Guizhou in 2008, we used indirect hemagglutination inhibition test(HI) to detect the serum antibody level of bird flu and Newcastle disease of the domestic fowls raised by breeding bird yard,big poultry yard and free-range family in the four result shows that: the positive rate of bird flu H5 antibody is (7484/8802), the qualification rate of immune antibody is (7335/8527); the antibody positive rate in breeding bird yard,big poultry yard and free-range family are (601/697)、(4724/5515) and (2159/2590) respectively, while that in the nonimmuned free-range family is (149/275).The positive rate of bird flu H7 antibody is (624/1572), which is (38/608)、(499/888) and (87/96) in breeding bird yard,big poultry yard and free-range family positive rate of bird flu H9 antibody is (4149/5703)，the qualification rate of the immune antibody is (3830/4769); the immune antibody positive rate in the breeding bird yard,big poultry yard and free-range family are (1333/1466)、(1329/1979) and (1487/2258) for each，while that in the nonimmuned big poultry yard and free-range family are (199/525) and (120/409). The immune antibody positive rate of Newcastle disease is (2833/3623), the qualification rate of the immune antibody is (2495/2917); the positive rate in breeding bird yard,big poultry yard and free-range family are (1385/1499)、(556/830) and (892/1294) respectively, at the same time that in the nonimmuned breeding bird yard,big poultry yard and free-range family are (100/150)、(32/48)、(206/508) shows that the immunization effect of bird flu and Newcastle disease in the four regions of Guizhou is fine. The qualification rate of the antibody of bird flu H5,H9 andNew castle disease have all reached the antibody level defined by the Ministry of Agriculture, and there are some samples showing immune antibody positive of three subtypes, ., H5,H7 and H9 and Newcastle disease among the nonimmuned poultry serum, the positive rate being comparatively high. It illustrates that there are infections of bird flu and Newcastle disease among the nonimmuned poultry, at the same time there is double infection of two kinds of disease, which is worth attention.
