《Scientific American》在中国以前有中文版本出售，中文名字定为《科学》，但是在2005年10月，由于与美国出版社的合约到期，已经停刊，计划由中国出版社自行出版。《Science》在中国没有见过中文版，如果要想买英文版的，可以在网上订阅购买。在大型的图书馆中的英文期刊中应该有多数英文期刊。
《环球科学》《Scientific American》现在的中文版。每月10号左右发行。一般大学门口的报摊卖。
