Management Information Systems (MIS), sometimes referred to as Information Management and Systems, is the discipline covering the application of people, technologies, and procedures — collectively called information systems — to solving business problems. Management Information Systems are distinct from regular information systems in that they are used to analyze other information systems applied in operational activities in the organization.Academically, the term is commonly used to refer to the group of information management methods tied to the automation or support of human decision making, e.g. Decision Support Systems, Expert systems, and Executive information systems.

With the continuous development of computers and wide application of the current campus network was quickly universal, student information management is an important element. Web-based management model will be Web technology and management technology integration, so that school administrators can easily through a Web browser configuration and monitoring network, so that teachers and students convenient access to information, this greatly increased the efficiency of management.
The student information management system based on the WEB, using FrontPage software as a development platform, background database using Access. With ADO database access technology page on the background of the various database management operations, information management students to achieve the basic functions. The system can be divided into front-end and back-end systems student management system in two parts. I am mainly responsible for the back-end management system design and development and the creation of relevant databases. Back-end management system to achieve the basic functions include: administrator login and authentication, user maintenance, performance maintenance, maintenance courses.
After the design constantly revised and improved, repeated testing and verification debugging and eventually reached a preliminary feasibility of the system design requirements. The system can windowXP + IIS5.0 used IE6.0 normal operation. The system simple and easy to operate, so that students information management has become convenient, fast.
