Abstract:Education is thought of as ‘three-in-one’ action jointly taken by school, society and family. The society is supposed to supply educational resources accessible to family and school. Nowadays family-school partnerships vary in all kinds of forms. As one of the 2007 well-being programmes sponsored by the Shanghai municipal government, the ‘family-school interaction’ networking platform provides a new opportunity for dialogues among teachers, parents and students, with modern education showing the trends towards networkization, virtualization, internationalization and personalization. However, there exist many problems with the family-school interaction platform, and this is an important issue that has recently attracted attention of research on education studies. Obvious differences exist between middle and primary schools in using the platform. Based upon such problems, this paper points out that poor linkage may be responsible for poor performance of family-school cooperation among middle and primary schools. By questionnaire surveys and interviews, the author analyzed the cause for the problem, and furthermore put forward some solutions. The paper tried to explore a practice model of family-school partnership and give an impetus to its smooth development .
