You would find that your inner chatter would often be filled with talk of "I am so slow" and "it is so hard to learn". If you constantly tell yourself such negative stories, your actions are going to reflect your low self esteem. It will be difficult to get very far if you are always putting yourself down.
A common negative talk involves telling yourself "I can’t". When you say to yourself "I can’t" or "it is too difficult", you are creating a resistance. Having such a mental block will prevent you from achieving a task you could otherwise succeed at.
Anytime you catch yourself saying "I can’t…", turn around and challenge your own claim with, "Why can’t I?" Research shows that most geniuses became the people they are also because of the hard work they put in. So if you would like to be successful, you need to start saying "I can" a lot more.
A great method that I have also found useful is to say "Cancel Cancel" each time I find myself saying something negative, whether in the mind or verbally. The method works if you sincerely have the intent of becoming a positive thinker.

大家一定有自己最崇敬的人吧，比如刘胡兰、毛泽东、钱学森……我最崇敬的人不是别人，而是大家都熟悉的加拿大人诺尔曼白求恩，他是一名胸外科医生。要问我为什么崇敬他，我会毫不犹豫地告诉你：“作为一位异国医生，在中国的抗日战争中，他竟然如此毫不保留地帮助我们中国人，还把宝贵的生命献给了中国人民反法西斯斗争事业，实在太令人佩服！”1936年冬，白求恩参加了反法西斯斗争，中国战争爆发后，他为了帮助中国早日解放，率领一个医疗队不远万里来到中国。1939年10月中旬，白求恩为了向世界人民宣传中国的抗日战争，募集经费和药品，他准备回国一次，可是日军调动了5万兵力，对北岳区发动了大规模的冬季大“扫荡”。白求恩得知这一消息后，决定推迟回国。10月28日下午，白求恩正紧张地做手术，哨兵报告说：“敌人从北面包抄过来了！快走吧！”但白求恩却说：“再添两个手术台，快点！”20分钟后，只剩下最后一名战士朱德士。这时枪声四起，哨兵催促道：“白大夫，这里太危险了，快走吧！”可白求恩坚决地说：“不行！”朱德士的大腿粉碎性骨折，为加快手术速度，白求恩把手伸进伤口掏取碎骨，但是，碎骨刺破了他的手指，他迅速把手指伸进消毒液里浸了浸，又继续手术，直到缝完最后一针才转移。第二天，白求恩的手指发炎了，他忍住肿胀和剧痛继续医治伤员。在白求恩准备转移时，从前线送来一名患烈性传染病的伤员，白求恩立刻给他进行了手术。在白求恩为伤员纵横切开伤口时，手套被划破了，带伤的手马上受到了感染，得了脓败血症。11月12日凌晨5点，白求恩大夫于世长辞，永远地离开了我们。白求恩大夫让很多的中国人民伤员重新上了战场，自己却永远地离开了这个多姿多彩的世界。生命是何其得宝贵，我想，作为医生，白求恩一定知道这点，可是，和平和友谊的种子在这位加拿大人的心田里更是根深蒂固。凡是有德行的人都愿意去为反法西斯战争贡献自己的一份力量，但又有几个人能真正做到将自我的生命置之度外呢？白求恩大夫离开我们了，轻轻的，淡淡的，安静的，伴着着中国人民深深的哀悼，浓烈的思念和无限的悲伤，但他将永远地刻在我们中国人的心中，因为他在我们的心中早烙下了一个刻骨铭心的印章。如果你能感受白求恩大夫那渴望世界和平，制止战争的信念，就请你和我一起，宣扬和平的理念，祈祷世界各地都不再有战争。孩子们不再失去父母，父母们不再失去孩子，健康、幸福地生活在一起！

魏晋时期是中国思想文化急剧变迁的时代，当时的文人竞尚浮诞，驰骋玄理，专事清淡。这种风气在文学上表现为文学内容空泛，形式主义倾向严重。东晋建立后数十年间，诗坛几乎被玄言诗占据着。从建安、正始、太康以来诗歌艺术正常发展的脉络中断了，玄言成分的过度膨胀，使诗歌偏离了艺术，变成老庄思想的枯燥注疏。然而，在这样一个文学的贫困时代里，有一位诗人如同奇葩独放，以其鲜明的色彩和新颖的风格，一洗往日积垢，为文坛注入了新的血液，这位诗人就是陶渊明。陶渊明的出现，才使得诗歌艺术的脉络重新接上，并且增添了许多新的充满生机的因素。陶诗沿袭魏晋诗歌的古朴作风而进入更纯熟的境地，像一座里程碑标志着古朴的诗歌所能达到的高度。陶渊明又是一位创新的先锋。他成功地将“自然”提升为一种美的至境；将玄言诗注疏老庄所表达的玄理，改为日常生活中的哲理；使诗歌与日常生活相结合，并开创了田园诗这种新题材的作品。他的清高耿介、洒脱恬淡、质朴真率、淳厚善良，他对人生所作的哲学思考，连同他的作品一起，为后世的士大夫筑了一个“巢”，一个精神家园。一方面可以掩护他们与虚伪、丑恶划清界限，另一方面也可使他们得以休息和逃避。他们对陶渊明的强烈认同感，使陶渊明成为一个令人永不生厌的话题。
