为什么期刊论文没有期号

这是电子期刊，只有文献号（简写为art. no.）没有纸质期刊的卷、期、页码。下面是从英国物理学会IOP的author guidelines里摘录的一段：===============. References to electronic-only journals. 因为英文文献对起止码没有统一要求，所以有的有，有的没有。每个英文期刊的标注方式也不一样，有的只有卷号没有期号，而国内期刊卷号和期号都有。而已经投稿成功但没有正式发表出来的论文，都有一个DOI号，没有卷号和页码，也是可以在数据库中查到的。文献是指有历史意义或研究价值的图书、期刊、典章等，是科学研究和技术研究结果的最终表现形式，是人们获取知识的重要媒介。

原因如下：一般的期刊是具有卷号和期号的。 但也有些期刊只有期号而没有卷号,是以其出版年作为卷号。在引用时不写卷号,只标注期号即可。
