我国科研人员在西藏自治区波密县发现一个兰科石豆兰属新种，将其命名为"雅鲁藏布江石豆兰"。该成果日前发表在国际植物分类学期刊《Phytotaxa》上。论文作者之一、中国科学院西双版纳热带植物园高级工程师李剑武介绍，兰科石豆兰属在全世界有2200多种，在我国大约分布有150种。2017年，李剑武到西藏墨脱考察过程中，在波密县、墨脱县的雅鲁藏布江流域发现一种植株较小的石豆兰属植物。考察结束后，他把这种植物引种到西双版纳热带植物园苗圃栽种，半个月后开花，经研究为石豆兰属的一个新种。该新种具有圆锥形的假鳞茎，卵状长圆形的叶片，卵状菱形的花瓣，三角形的蕊柱齿，叶片长1厘米到厘米，蕊柱足上具有一个V字形的垫状物。李剑武说："这一新种在雅鲁藏布江发现，因此把它命名为'雅鲁藏布江石豆兰'。
