1997年至今已发表论文131篇，其中SCI收录论文37篇；科学专著4部；科普专著1部。系统研究中国蚜总科昆虫，鉴定描述400余种，重新记述国外40多种的模式标本；建立4属18种的新异名；对32属蚜虫进行系统厘定，澄清了对有些类群的错误记载。利用支序系统学的理论方法，研究扁蚜科等3科蚜虫的系统发育关系，对亚科的界定和系统地位提出独到见解。利用支序生物地理学方法，研究了扁蚜科昆虫的地理分布格局和特有分布区之间的祖裔关系。利用GIS技术，对中国斑蚜科和斑蚜科侧棘斑蚜属的地理分布格局进行了探讨。利用分子生物学的方法，探讨了刺蚜亚科的系统演化关系，为建立合理客观的分类系统提供分子水平的依据；研究了扁蚜亚科的分子系统发育关系，探讨了扁蚜亚科蜡片、虫瘿等重要形态特征的演化；基于分子数据，研究了五节根蚜族和瘿绵蚜族的系统发育关系，分别探讨了虫瘿在两个族内的起源和演化。基于物种信息库，利用GIS技术和PAE分析方法，探讨了青藏－喜马拉雅地区蚜虫的多样性与地理分布格局，提出了该地区5个蚜虫的特有分布区，并分析了格局的主要成因；利用相似系数，研究和对比分析了中国大陆与台湾岛屿的蚜虫区系的相似性与差异，讨论了台湾与中国大陆蚜虫区系的历史渊源；对横断山区蚜虫的物种多样性与地理分布格局进行了系统研究，从三个不同角度分析了横断山区蚜虫区系的历史渊源。目前在系统分类、物种多样性、地理分布格局研究的同时，重点开展蚜虫DNA分类、蚜虫与寄主植物的协同进化、分子系统学与分子进化方面的研究。 1. 肖晖，博士，副研究员，硕士研究生导师。1990年毕业于河南师范大学，1998年于中国科学院动物研究所获理学博士学位。从事寄生蜂的系统分类、动物地理学、系统发育等方面的研究。1999年获国家自然科学基金青年基金资助，完成了亚洲金小蜂科200余属人机交互式检索系统。2001年获得英国皇家学会KC Wong 奖学金，在英国帝国大学生物与技术部分子进化研究组及英国自然历史博物馆进行一年的博士后研究工作。2002年获中国昆虫学会青年科技奖，周尧昆虫分类学奖励基金二等奖。现任《动物分类学报》编委，中国科学院研究生院副教授，中国昆虫学会青年工作委员会副主任。已经发表论文51篇，出版专著一部。目前已经有两名研究生毕业。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目等多个项目。联合主持科技部基础性工作专项重点项目课题：海南岛及西沙群岛动物资源考察。
