投稿是submit不同杂志有不同要求，杂志上（前页或后页，或他的网页）会有详细的说明。
意思是如果对于表格某些内容在表格内无法表达清楚，需要单独说明，这时将需要单独说明的部分加上小写字母上标，并在表格下边对该小写字母所表示的意思进行说明。你要是没有需要具体说明的内容，当然就不需要footnote啦。“Avoid vertical rules”就是用表格的三线法，不要有垂直的线
