研究对象是从研究目标到研究内容的过渡。
研究对象是指对客观事物和现象的调查、考察所得观测资料以及有关文献资料数据。通过专门的研究方法为对研究对象进行分析、综合、概括、通过归纳、演绎、类比，提出某种新的理论和新的见解。
我们都知道，研究目标是悬空的，而研究内容是要落地的，否则研究思路、方法就没法写。很多人认为，研究思路、方法就不是研究内容吗？三个部分不都是在写研究什么吗？
其实，这些部分的侧重点是有明显区别的，我们在写作时需要仔细分析目标、内容、思路、方法之间的不同以及逻辑关系，不能各部分都写成“我要做什么”，否则整个课题申请书都是在重复。
具体来讲，研究目标是指课题研究在两年、三年之后要实现什么，所以讲是悬空的；研究内容是立项之后马上要展开的，所以应该落地。
1、写明调查的起因或目的、时间和地点、对象或范围、经过与方法，以及人员组成等调查本身的情况，从中引出中心问题或基本结论来。
2、写明调查对象的历史背景、大致发展经过、现实状况、主要成绩、突出问题等基本情况，进而提出中心问题或主要观点来。
3、开门见山，直接概括出调查的结果，如肯定做法、指出问题、提示影响、说明中心内容等。前言起到画龙点睛的作用，要精练概括，直切主题。
调查报告的类型是不同的，所以具体的内容也存在差异，但是基本写法是大同小异的，所以必须得掌握相关的写作方法，才能得到领导的认可，首先需要熟练调查报告的一些结构特点，另外还要把握相关的写作程序。
调研报告不同于调查报告
调查报告是因为发生了某件事才去作调查，然后写出报告。调研报告的写作者必须自觉以研究为目的，根据社会或工作的需要，制定出切实可行的调研计划。
即将被动的适应变为有计划的、积极主动的写作实践，从明确的追求出发，经常深入到社会第一线，不断了解新情况、新问题，有意识地探索和研究，写出有价值的调研报告。调研报告的核心是实事求是地反映和分析客观事实。调研报告主要包括两个部分:一是调查，二是研究。
调查，应该深入实际，准确地反映客观事实，不凭主观想象，按事物的本来面目了解事物，详细地钻研材料。研究，即在掌握客观事实的基础上，认真分析，透彻地揭示事物的本质。至于对策，调研报告中可以提出一些看法，但不是主要的。
因为，对策的制定是一个深入的、复杂的、综合的研究过程，调研报告提出的对策是否被采纳，能否上升到政策，应该经过政策预评估。调研报告是整个调查工作，包括计划、实施、收集、整理等一系列过程的总结，是调查研究人员劳动与智慧的结晶，也是客户需要的最重要的书面结果之一。
它是一种沟通、交流形式，其目的是将调查结果、战略性的建议以及其他结果传递给管理人员或其他担任专门职务的人员。因此，认真撰写调研报告，准确分析调研结果，明确给出调研结论，是报告撰写者的责任。
