So I pretend to understand the joke in another party, I saw everyone laugh and I laugh too in 5 seconds later. My home stay was surprised about that and asked me do you understand?， and I answered no， So why do you laugh? because I do not want to be embarrassed!
But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because they encourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home, play computer and speak Chinese.
When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who is international student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage me join SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even know what SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRC anymore. But she said why not? You should go and you have to go!I asked why? she said: because I said so!
But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me a lot.
Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but I appreciate this award and I will try my best in future.

I have remembered such a piece of news . An excellent student flunked (考试不及格) because he could not concentrate on his study for being too indulged in computer games. He spent nearly all the money on games, which was earned by his father's selling blood. When his father knelt down to beg him to return to school, he was too numb to show any regret.
The most serious harm of computer games come from their contents, which affects teenagers ' mental health. Many games involve violence, such as fighting and killing. When they enjoy the pleasure of success, a violent turn of mind is developed and rooted in them, which may induce future violent behaviour in their life.
So when computers' entertaining function is highly spoken of ,such a problem does deserve our serious concern.
In addition, long time's working before computer also does harm to health. The radiation from the computer can arose many uncomfortable feelings., like a headache, poor eyesight.
At last, people who are fond of making friends on line should also be careful. Many convicts use Internet as a way to cheat. Although it has many disadvantages , Internet has become an indispensable part of people's life in recent years. 二、春节的习俗
1、腊月二十三 祭灶
我国春节，一般是从祭灶揭开序幕的。祭灶，是一项在我国民间影响很大、流传极广的习俗。旧时，差不多家家灶间都设有“灶王爷”神位。
2、腊月二十四 扫尘
“腊月二十四，掸尘扫房子” ，据《吕氏春秋》记载，我国在尧舜时代就有春节扫尘的风俗。按民间的说法：因“尘”与“陈”谐音，新春扫尘有“除陈布新”的涵义，其用意是要把一切穷运、晦气统统扫出门。这一习俗寄托着人们破旧立新的愿望和辞旧迎新的祈求。 每逢春节来临，家家户户都要打扫环境，清洗各种器具，拆洗被褥窗帘，洒扫
六闾庭院，掸拂尘垢蛛网，疏浚明渠暗沟。到处洋溢着欢欢喜喜搞卫生、干干净净迎新春的欢乐气氛。
3、腊月二十五 接玉皇
旧俗认为灶神上天后，天帝玉皇于农历十二月二十五日亲自下界,查察人间善恶，并定来年祸福，所以家家祭之以祈福，称为“接玉皇”。这一天起居、言语都要谨慎，争取好表现，以博取玉皇欢心，降福来年。
4、腊月二十七、二十八 洗浴
传统民俗中在这两天要集中地洗澡、洗衣，除去一年的晦气，准备迎接来年的新春，京城有"二十七洗疚疾，二十八洗邋遢"的谚语。腊月二十六洗浴为“洗福禄”。
5、腊月三十除夕 贴门神、贴春联、守岁、爆竹、吃年夜饭、给压岁钱、祭祖
除夕的意思是“月穷岁尽”，人们都要除旧部新，有旧岁至此而除，来年另换新岁的意思，是农历全年最后的一个晚上。故此期间的活动都围绕着除旧部新，消灾祈福为中心。

爆竹，中国民间有“开门爆竹”一说。即在新的一年到来之际，家家户户开门的第一件事就是燃放爆竹，以哔哔叭叭的爆竹声除旧迎新。爆竹是中国特产，其起源很早，至今已有两千多年的历史。放爆竹可以创造出喜庆热闹的气氛，是节日的一种娱乐活动，可以给人们带来欢愉和吉利。王安石的《元日》诗：

as a student majoring in economics, i can't be more sensitive to the essential meanings behind these numbers. they mean progress, prosperity, employment and stability.
however, as a conscientious chinese and citizen of the world, i can't help but care more about the losses incurred in this transaction, by which i mean the disturbing images of environmental destruction, which leads to ecological crisis. the global environment has changed for the worse during the past few years, and tourism is partly to blame. take china for example, in order to attract tourists, many unknown places are built into resorts. forests are cleared, prairies trampled, rivers and lakes 6)contaminated, wild animals are driven away, plants jeopardized and secluded populations disturbed.

过去的二十年，中国一直在跟美国的三任总统打交道，但是今天到了耶鲁我才知道，其实他只跟一所学校打交道。但是透过这三位总统我也明白了，耶鲁大学的 毕业 生的水准也并不很平均。
接下来就进入我们这个主题，或许要起个题目的话应该叫《我的 故事 以及背后的中国梦》。我要讲五个年份，第一要讲的年份是1968年。那一年我出生了。但是那一年世界非常乱，在法国有它的这个，巨大的街头的**，在美国也有，然后美国的总统肯尼迪遇刺了，但是的确这一切的原因都与我无关。但是那一年我们更应该记住的是马丁路德金先生遇刺，虽然那一年他倒下了，但是“我有一个梦想”的这句话却真正地站了起来，不仅在美国站起来，在全世界站起来。
但是当时很遗憾，不仅仅是我，几乎很多的中国人并不知道这个梦想，因为当时中国人，每一个个人很难说拥有自己的梦想。中国与美国的距离非常遥远，不亚于月亮与地球之间的距离。但是我并不关心这一切，我只关系我是否可以吃饱。很显然，我的出生非常不是时候，不仅对于当时的中国来说，对于世界来说，似乎都有些问题。
1978年，十年之后。我十岁，我依然生活在我出生的时候，那个只有二十万人的非常非常小的城市里。它离北京的距离有两千公里，它要想了解北京出的报纸的话，要在三天之后才能看见，所以对于我们来说，是不存在新闻这个说法。那一年我的爷爷去世了，而在两年前的时候我的父亲去世了，所以只剩下我母亲一个人要抚养我们哥俩，她一个月的工资不到十美元。因此即使十岁了，梦想这个词对我来说，依然是一个非常陌生的词汇，我从来不会去想它。我看不到这个家庭的希望，只是会感觉，那个时候的每一个冬天都很寒冷，因为我所生活的那个城市离苏联更近。但是就在我看不到希望的1978年的时候，不管是中国这个国家，还有中国与美国这两个国家之间，发生了非常巨大的变化，那是一个我们在座的所有人，今天都该记住的年份。
1978年的12月16号，中国与美国正式建交，那是一个大事件。而在中美建交两天之后，12月18号，中国的十一届三中全会召开了，那是中国改革开放三十一年的开始。历史，两个伟大的国家，一个非常可怜的家庭，就如此戏剧性地交织在一起，不管是小的家庭，还是大的国家，其实当时谁都没有把握知道未来是什么样的。”
1988年，那一年我二十岁。这个时候我已经从边疆的小城市来到了北京，成为一个大学生。虽然我们今天在中国依然有很多的人在抨击中国的高考的制度，认为它有很多很多的缺陷，但是必须承认正是高考的存在，让我们这样一个又一个非常普通的孩子，拥有了改变命运的机会。当然，这个时候美国已经不再是一个很遥远的国家，它变得很具体，它也不再是那个过去 口号 当中的“美帝国主义”，而是变成了生活中很多的细节。这个时候我已经第一次地尝试过可口可乐，而且喝完可口可乐之后会觉得中美两个国家真的是如此接近，因为它几乎就跟中国的中药是一样的。
那个时候我已经开始非常狂热地去喜欢摇滚乐。那个时候正是迈克尔杰克逊还长得比较漂亮的时候。更重要的是，这个时候的中国，已经开始发生了非常大的变化，因为改革已经进行了十年。那一年中国开始尝试放开很多商品的价格。这在你们觉得是非常不可思议的事情，但是在中国当时是一个很大的迈进，因为过去的价格都是由政府来决定的。但是，就在那一年，因为放开了价格，引起了全国疯狂地抢购，大家都觉得这个时候会有多久，于是要把一辈子都用的食品和用品，买回到家里头。这一年也就标志之着中国离市场经济越来越近了。
当然那个时候没有人知道市场经济，也会有次贷危机。当然我知道那一年1988年对于耶鲁大学来说格外的重要，因为你们耶鲁的校友又一次成为美国的总统。
1998年，那一年我三十岁。我已经成为中央电视台的一个新闻节目主持人。更重要的是，我已经成为一个一岁孩子的父亲。那一年在中美之间发生了一个非常重要的事件，主角就是克林顿。也许在美国你记住的是性丑闻。但是在中国记住的是他那一年访问了中国。在六月份的时候，他访问中国的时候，在人民大会堂和江泽民同志进行了一个开放的记者招待会，然后又在北京大学进行了一个开放的演讲，这两场活动的直播主持人都是我。

当鸦片战争击破“天朝上国”的迷梦时;当日本侵略者扬言三个月灭亡中国时;当南京大屠杀无数生命被无情践踏时，无数的仁人志士心中就怀着一个梦想，一个民族复兴的梦想。中国梦的种子就已悄然种在祖国母亲这块伤痕累累、贫瘠荒芜的土地上。
170多年来，无数中华儿女就执着于这个梦，为民族复兴而上下求索。孙中山领导中华人民推翻了统治中国2000多年的封建制度;八年抗日战争中无数先烈用鲜血染红了五星红旗。一路艰辛终于换来了歌声飘扬。当无与伦比的奥运会在北京完美落幕时;当天宫一号、嫦娥一号在太空自由翱翔时;当我们的航母已经下水起航时，几代人为中华复兴而奋斗，把自己熔铸于中国百余年沧桑的历史图景中，令人感慨，催人奋进。
2015年姚明在退役发布会上感言：“感谢这个伟大进步的时代，使我有机会去实现自己的梦想和价值。”当然，我们每个人未必都像姚明那样尽情绽放了自己的梦想，但也都或多或少的实现着自己的梦想。尽管我们的梦想实现的未必尽如人意，有的还在抱怨，学习不够好，工作不够顺利，家庭不够富裕。但与自己的过去相比，梦想的旅程都早已离开原点，梦想的花朵已然开始绽放。也许，执着于自己的梦想久了，我们可能忘了梦想成长的土壤。也许，有的人会说，自己梦想的实现得益于自己的奋斗，这个时代、我们的国家并没有为我们做什么。然而，百余年前的中国人不敢有梦，百余年后的我们都有自己的梦，期间的差别就在于“中国梦”正在一步步实现。

那么什么是演讲与口才了?演讲与口才已经成为一门艺术，可以让人获得成功的艺术。这次选修课我选择了演讲与口才，因为口才是一种艺术，一门科学，一种能力的表现，这是我看完这本书后的体会。以前我觉得口才就是讲话，只要会讲话，便是有口才的人。但看完书后我明白其实并不是，不能仅从表面去理解演讲与口才的意义。书中阐述了口语艺术的特征和基本法则，从学生的实际能力和社会发展的需要出发，对学生进行说话、演讲、 辩论 、语言交际能力等方面的培养。我对口才也有了更全面的认识，知道了口才在现代社会中所处的重要地位。如此说来，说话并不是件容易的事，而要把话讲好就更难了。一言可兴邦，一言也可抵三军，言论的力量是巨大的。还有老师的课堂授课，使我感受到了演讲这门课程的重要性，对我们潜在的社会发展起到了推波助澜的作用。在我们的世界里，人与人之间交流思想、沟通感想，最直接、最方便的途径就是语言。我们通过语言来表达自己的意思，很多时候，我们在私底下可以口若悬河，但一但站在讲台上讲话时，就会出现脸红耳赤，说话断断续续、语无轮次的尴尬情况。而一个好的演讲者演说家会很好的打破这种局面，因为他懂得如何在各种场合实时适时的转变，这种转变就会很好的使我们适应和改变。
演讲是要有欲望的，也就是说要有表达的欲望，如果没有演讲的欲望，永远练不好口才。可以说每个人天生都有讲的欲望，从人呱呱坠地，吖吖学语开始就有了这种冲动，后来可能是由于社会、个人的原因，因讲不好，就不敢讲、不愿讲了。但是，演讲冲动是原始的，有些人只是没有机会而已。就如同一个沉默寡言的人，一旦醉酒，就会酒话连篇一样，酒就是催化剂，就是开启话匣子的钥匙。想讲，是需要培训的，一旦有了第一次的讲，就会有第二次表达的冲动。所以，培训口才，应该先培养讲的兴趣开始，让人产生充分表达的愿望，只有想讲了，才能可能走上演讲的讲台。
演讲课是一门实践课。如果是只讲理论，而不登台演讲，则理论再好，也是空洞的，没有实际效果。敢于登台亮相，大胆讲出来，才能达到真正的效果。所以说，演讲关关键的问题是胆子要大，不要把面子看得太重，不要怕丢面子，不要担心别人的看法，只有大胆地讲出来，才能锻炼口才，否则是珍珠深埋，宝剑藏匿匣中。演讲的根本问题就是胆子要大，也就是要突破心理障碍，能够战胜自己，就如同面对敌人要有奋勇当先的勇气，敢于亮剑。能够做到这一点，演讲就成功了一半。有些人只所以惧怕演讲，就是迈不出这第一步，突破不了这道心理防线。所以，初学演讲的人，就要从站起来、走上台、讲出来练起。

有这样一些人，不敢开口说话，怕被人笑。若与陌生人在一起更是闭口无言，沉默以对。造成这样的原因，不仅仅只是怕被人讥笑，还有其他许多原因：可能是从小缺乏集体生活，习惯一个人，对别人不太了解;可能在某个场合说话产生了不好的效果的阴影，因噎废食，“一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井绳”;可能是觉得自己口才较笨，表达往往词不达意、言不中的，因而产生了少说为佳或者干脆不开口的想法。
不管出于何种原因，归其全部，无外乎一条，那就是要克服自己的心理障碍。要克服自己的心理障碍，首先要有充分的心理准备，减轻自己的负担，不要把自己的目标定的太高，降低求胜动机，做到轻装上阵;要保持积极的情绪，用积极自我暗示的办法，不断强化必胜的信心与信念，养成一套独特的思维习惯;演讲时要把要把注意力从自己身上移开，冷静的处理怯场，深呼吸30秒，给自己勇气，默认自己是最棒的。

演讲未必都使用演讲稿，不少著名的演讲都是即兴之作，由别人经过记录流传开来的。但重要的演讲最好还是事先准备好演讲稿，因为演讲稿至少有两个方面的作用：其一，通过对思路的精心梳理，对材料的精心组织，使演讲内容更加深刻和富有条理。其二，可帮助演讲者消除临场紧张、恐惧的心理，增强演讲者的自信心。
演讲稿特点
主要区别：演讲和表演、作文有很大的区别。
首先，演讲是演讲者就人们普遍关注的某种有意义的事物或问题，通过口头语言面对一定场合的听众，直接发表意
见的一种社会活动。
其次，作文是作者通过文章向读者单方面的输出信息，演讲则是演讲者在现场与听众双向交流信息。严格地讲，演讲是演讲者与听众、听众与听众的三角信息交流，演讲者不能以传达自己的思想和情感、情绪为满足，他必须能控制住自己与听众、听众与听众情绪的应和与交流。所以，为演讲准备的稿子就具有以下三个特点：
主要特点
第一、针对性。演讲是一种社会活动，是用于公众场合的宣传形式。它为了以思想、感情、事例和理论来晓喻听众，打动听众，“征服”群众，必须要有现实的针对性。所谓针对性，首先是作者提出的问题是听众所关心的问题，评论和论辨要有雄辩的逻辑力量，要能为听众所接受并心悦诚服，这样，才能起到应有的社会效果;其次是要懂得听众有不同的对象和不同的层次，而“公众场合”也有不同的类型，如党团集会、专业性会议、服务性俱乐部、学校、社会团体、宗教团体、各类竞赛场合，写作时要根据不同场合和不同对象，为听众设计不同的演讲内容。
第二、可讲性。演讲的本质在于“讲”，而不在于“演”，它以“讲”为主、以“演”为辅。由于演讲要诉诸口头，拟稿时必须以易说能讲为前提。如果说，有些文章和作品主要通过阅读欣赏，领略其中意义和情味，那么，演讲稿的要求则是“上口入耳”。一篇好的演讲稿对演讲者来说要可讲;对听讲者来说应好听。因此，演讲稿写成之后，作者最好能通过试讲或默念加以检查，凡是讲不顺口或听不清楚之处(如句子过长)，均应修改与调整。
第三、鼓动性。演讲是一门艺术。好的演讲自有一种激发听众情绪、赢得好感的鼓动性。要做到这一点，首先要依靠演讲稿思想内容的丰富、深刻，见解精辟，有独到之处，发人深思，语言表达要形象、生动，富有感染力。如果演讲稿写得平淡无味，毫无新意，即使在现场“演”得再卖力，效果也不会好，甚至相反。
第四、整体性演讲稿并不能独立地完成演讲任务，它只是演讲的一个文字依据，是整个演讲活动的一个组成部分。演讲主体、听众对象、特定的时空条件，共同构成了演讲活动的整体。撰写演讲稿时，不能将它从整体中剥离出来。为此，演讲稿的撰写要注意以下几个方面：
首先，要根据听众的文化层次、工作性质、生存环境、品位修养、爱好愿望来确立选题，选择表达方式，以便更好地沟通。
其次，演讲稿不仅要充分体现演讲者独到、深刻的观点和见解，而且还要对声调的高低、语速的快慢、体态语的运用进行设计并加以注释，以达到最佳的传播效果。
另外，还要考虑演讲的时间、空间、现场氛围等因素，以强化演讲的现场效果。
第五、口语性
口语性是演讲稿区别于其他书面表达文章和会议文书的重要方面。书面性文章无需多说，其他会议文书如大会工作报告、领导讲话稿等，并不太讲究口语性，虽然由某一领导在台上宣读，但听众手中一般也有一份印制好的讲稿，一边听讲一边阅读，不会有什么听不明白的地方。演讲稿就不同了，它有较多的即兴发挥，不可能事先印好讲稿发给听众。为此，演讲稿必须讲究“上口”和“入耳”。所谓上口，就是讲起来通达流利。所谓入耳，就是听起来非常顺畅，没有什么语言障碍，不会发生曲解。具体要做到：
把长句改成适听的短句;
把倒装句改为常规句;
把听不明白的文言词语、成语加以改换或删去;
把单音节词换成双音节词;
把生僻的词换成常用的词;
把容易误听的词换成不易误听的词。
这样，才能保证讲起来朗朗上口，听起来清楚明白。
第六、临场性
演讲活动是演讲者与听众面对面的一种交流和沟通。听众会对演讲内容及时作出反应：或表示赞同，或表示反对，或饶有兴趣，或无动于衷。演讲者对听众的各种反映不能置之不顾，因此，写演讲稿时，要充分考虑它的临场性，在保证内容完整的前提下，要注意留有伸缩的余地。要充分考虑到演讲时可能出现的种种问题，以及应付各种情况的对策。总之，演讲稿要具有弹性，要体现出必要的控场技巧。
主要功能
第一、“使人知”演讲。这是一种以传达信息、阐明事理为主要功能的演讲。它的目的在于使人知道、明白。如美学家朱光潜的演讲《谈作文》，讲了作文前的准备、文章体裁、构思、选材等，使听众明白了作文的'基本知识。它的特点是知识性强，语言准确。
第二、“使人信”演讲。这种演讲的主要目的是使人信赖、相信。它从“使人知”演讲发展而来。如恽代英的演讲《怎样才是好人》，不仅告知人们哪些人不是好人，也提出了三条衡量好人的标准，通过一系列的道理论述，改变了人们以往的旧观念。它的特点是观点独到、正确，论据翔实、确凿，论证合理、严密。
第三、“使人激”演讲。这种演讲意在使听众激动起来，在思想感情上与你产生共鸣，从而欢呼、雀跃。如美国黑人运动领袖马丁.路德.金的《在林肯纪念堂前的演说》，用他的几个“梦想”激发广大的黑人听众的自尊感、自强感，激励他们为“生而平等”而奋斗。
第四、“使人动”演讲。这比“使人激”演讲进了一步，它可使听众产生一种欲与演讲者一起行动的想法。法国前总统戴高乐在二战期间的英国伦敦作的演讲《告法国人民书》，号召法国人民行动起来，投身反法西斯的行列。它的特点是鼓动性强，多以号召、呼吁式的语言结尾。
第五、“使人乐”演讲。这是一种以活跃气氛、调节情绪，使人快乐为主要功能的演讲，多以幽默、笑话或调侃为材料，一般常出现在喜庆的场合。这种演讲的事例很多，人们大都能听到。它的特点是材料幽默，语言诙谐。它的特点是材料幽默，语言诙谐。
