1、《英语角》(English Corner)是中国第一本具有休闲风格的英语杂志，(English Corner)，2001年3月22日正式在北京创刊。

《英语角》来源
“英语角”一词源于民间。八十年代初人们相聚在英语角，用英语交流思想、交流情感、交流彼此之间学习英语、了解世界的感受。
创刊者在今天举行的新闻发布会上称，“英语角”作为杂志的刊名，目的就是想把新、老读者重新汇集在一起，以文化性、语言性、时尚性、娱乐性、休闲性等方式，以标准、实用、容易、有趣、前卫的内容，向读者展示当今世界学习英语的潮流，把他们已熟知的英语和当代英语结合在一起，使他们能够在休闲中提高英语素质。
创刊者还宣称，《英语角》杂志不但集阅读与欣赏于一体，同时向读者提供更广泛的谈话空间，为学习英语的朋友们创造一个轻松愉快的学习气氛。这也是这本杂志有别于其它种类英语学习杂志的最大特点。
