没有特别说明则不需要。
有的需要单位介绍信，会在期刊上标注，要求投稿时还应附带单位介绍信，写清联系方式。而有的则不需要。不过如果有单位介绍信的话，投稿会相对的容易些。
sci绿色通道通过官网投稿后给通知，等着出刊进入绿色通道。SCI是美国科学信息研究所（ISP）编辑出版的引文索引类刊物，被SCI收录的论文即SCI论文。中文社会科学引文索引CSSCI来源于SSCI（社会科学引文索引），即国外的文科SSCI相当于国内的C刊。
1、被国际顶级期刊（如Science，Nature及其子刊，Cell及其子刊，PNAS，Brain等）拒稿的稿件。
2、已经进入国际神经科学领域公认的有影响力期刊的同行评审环节（如JNeurosci，MolNeurobiol，Gila等），并得到审稿意见，因时间紧迫或其他原因撤回的稿件。
3、在本领域范围内有重大突破或重大发现的原创性研究论文，与国际同行有竞争性关系，需要抢先发表的稿件。稿件需要一位国际知名神经科学学者的推荐信。
SCI期刊投稿都需要写投稿信(cover letter)的，一般包括投稿杂志名称、论文的目的意义、创新点、重要发现、原创性声明和版权声明等。
SCI期刊对收到的稿件有明确的要求，那么在投稿SCI论文投稿需要准备什么材料或做哪些准备呢？
1、格式排版。投稿前需要按照期刊的格式要求进行格式排版，有一些期刊还提供格式模板，作者投稿前应该按照期刊格式要求仔细排版。排版可以起到美化论文的作用，一篇没排版的论文就像裸妆的美女是很难给人好印象的。
排版的过程中，尤其要注意的是参考文献的排版，各个期刊对参考文献格式都有明确要求，按照参考文献排版是一个繁琐和考验耐心的工作，您可以借助endnote等参考文献管理工具进行参考文献排版。
图表的格式是排版过程另外一个需要特别注意的问题，很多期刊对图表有严格的要求，比如图片的分辨率不能低于300。图片中的字体和字号期刊也有明确的要求。有一些期刊图表可以放到正文里面一起提交，也有很多期刊要求图表是分别单独提交的，而不是放到正文里面。
2、撰写cover letter。cover letter是作者向期刊编辑推荐自己的稿件，一般包括稿件内容介绍、为什么适合投稿期刊、推荐专家、稿件没投稿、作者联系信息等情况。cover letter是不会公开出版的。
3、撰写highlight。为了让读者更快了解文章的要点，很多期刊还要求作者撰写3-5条highlight来概括文章的亮点。highlight要求必须精练，有明确的字数要求，一般不超过85个字符（含空格）。
4、推荐3-5个审稿专家。找到合适的专家是编辑头疼的事情之一，推荐3-5个审稿专家可以帮助期刊编辑迅速寻找到合适的审稿专家。
