你前面写的很不错。后面要源码的时候，有些太直接。可以改成：I'm wondering if you could send me the souce code if you still have access to it. Otherwise, is there any other resouce that I should check?这样就比较委婉一些。

给外国作者写一般要写英语：Dear so and so, I am your fan. I like your works very much. Now I am a college student. I think your works have a great impact on me. Would you like to extract some of your works into my thesis? Thank you sincerely.

敬爱的某某，我是您的粉丝，我对您的作品十分的喜欢，我现在是一名在校的大学生，我认为您的作品对我影响很大，想把您的作品摘抄部分到我的论文里可以吗，由衷的感谢您。

注意：不用写太多，对外国人长篇大论没意义，直接一点反而可能会获得好感。
