论文一审5个月没动静，今天编辑发来一段话，大家看看是啥意思

副编辑发了这么一段话过来：
i regret to inform you that the evaluation of your paper 'xxx,' which you submitted for possible publication in the xxx, is incurring a delay. so far we have been unable to collect a sufficient number of useful reviews on which a publication decision may be based.

we will be in touch with you as soon as possible.


这个邮件的意思是我论文至少送外审了，没被desk rejected，审稿人也有，但是意见还没回来？ 最后那个尽可能和我联系是啥个意思？ 我要回复这个邮件吗？
这个期刊是我们业内top1/2的期刊，以为会很慢，没想到这么慢。原本我以为会外审都送不出去。
