Scientific Reports近五年平均影响因子为525，非自引影响因子为799。2017-2018年最新影响因子为011。近三年总体徘徊在4分左右。2019年的影响因子据实时估算应该维持在4分以上。Scientific Reports已经出版了来自180个国家或地区的投稿。影响因子是一个相对统计量。发展前景Scientific Reports创立于 2011年，创刊之初，年度发文量205篇，与大多数英文SCI收录期刊的年度发量差别不是很大。在此后的几年，该刊迅速发力。到2017年,Scientific Reports 年度发文量超过25000篇，成为目前为止发文量最多的一个年份（随后两年略微降低）。Scientific Reports 已经出版了来自180个国家或地区的投稿。截止2019年年底，来自中国作者的文章数量2900余篇，占该刊总发文量20000余篇的%。作为Nature旗下期刊，该刊目前由Nature-Springer出版集团在线OA出版发行。Scientific Reports主要刊载有关自然科学和临床科学的原创性研究结果，内容覆盖Physical sciences，Earth and environmental sciences，Biological sciences，Health sciences等诸多领域。主要栏目为论著。综述、病例报道、通信类文章等不在考虑之列。Scientific Reports发表在技术上可靠的、各领域内的专业人员感兴趣的原创性研究论文，其相关内容的访问不受任何限制。其创刊的目的是为了帮助研究工作迅速得到同行评审并最终发表。由于有一个外部编委会的支持和一个简化了的审稿体系，所以所有论文都会迅速地、公正地得到同行评审，以确保它们在技术上是可靠的。Scientific Reports对研究的伦理要求很高，投稿时需在文中阐明相关伦理声明。此外，Scientific Reports对研究中数据的可利用性也有要求，比如需要上传论文原始数据、原始的Western blotting图作为附加文件（Supplementary file，且为PDF格式文件）等。Scientific Reports的主要审稿要求是“Scientifically valid and technically sound（科学有效和技术上可靠）”。

英国的。它是由英国著名杂志《Nature》周刊（世界上最早的国际性科技期刊）新推出的一本开放获取期刊，接受来自包括生物学、化学、物理和地球科学在内的所有自然科学领域的投稿。2011年夏天开始出版，来自清华大学的祁海教授受邀担任该期刊编委。
