我是学计算机相近专业的我清楚，目前国外计算机相关的主要有三个专业：IT（information system）：主要研究数据库管理和编程、信息系统的分析设计、通讯和网络、信息安全、电子商务、项目管理等以网络为基础的技术。一般在商学院设立，有的属于商科的专业方向如商科硕士（信息系统）。CE（Computer Engineering）：以计算机硬件为主，包括软件技术，工程设计，通信（包括因特网） ，控制和系统理论，电子，机械动力学和数学分析。一般设在工程系。CS（computer science）：计算机科学专业的重点是发展高层次的编程技术，可以广泛应用但不限于以下领域，包括分析股市趋势，游戏设计，神经网络的设计，自动取款机和医院中的病人监护仪。由于该专业和EE有密不可分的关系，所以一般设在电子系。你学java编程要想深入研究的话应该去CS，当然如果你想将来向商科方向发展，搞应用数据库去IT也可以。
