英文论文的详细格式：
一、标题
一篇较长的英语论文(如英语毕业论文)一般都需要标题页,其书写格式如下:第一行标题与打印纸顶端的距离约为打印纸全长的三分之一,与下行(通常为by,居中)的距离则为5cm,第三、第四行分别为作者姓名及日期(均居中)。

研究结果说明： 这部分包括研究过程中观测到的现象以及收集到的数据的统计分析结果。在“结果”部分运用表格和图形可以有效地、直观地表达数据资料，作为正文叙述的补充。当然，一般情况下，在同一课题报告中只选用表格或图形的一种进行表达，而不应两者皆用，同时对表格或图形的文字说明应当简洁、抓住重点。

（3）本研究存在的不足之处或遗留问题。对于技术性论文来说，还应包括有哪些改进意见和建议。
结论可以对研究成果作出恰如其分的定性评价。但结论的评价仅限于此，与摘要一样，在结论中，不宜使用一些自夸式的评价，如“具有国际先进水平”等。要避免与摘要以及研究结果中的各段小结类同，这是准确写作结论的前提，也是提高论文学术价值的基础。
结论的语言十分简练，扼要。对结论性的东西部展开讨论，不重复各段小结中的内容；对可有可无的词语，如“通过理论分析和实验验证得出以下结论”等应坚决删除。措辞严谨，语句要像法律条文一样，扎钉截铁，不模棱两可，每句话只有唯一的解释，不允许存在歧义；肯定与否定必须十分明确，切忌使用“大概”、“可能”等类似词语。
结论内容的表述必须明确具体，不能使用抽象或笼统的语言。在结论中应当提供明确、具体的定性或定量信息，为了提高可读性，一般使用量名称，而不使用量符号。比如，可以说“电流与电阻呈正反比关系”，而不能说 “I与R呈反比关系”。作者的结论也不能产生于研究或实验之前。
结论写作必须以正文的分析论证或实验为基础，作者在正文中的所有研究极其成果都是为结论的写作服务和作准备，因此，从正文中得出结论是自然而然的，完全是水到渠成式的。
此外，在结论中只用文字，除了有些数学或化学方面的论文在结论中不得不用数据公式或化学反应式外，一般不用图标和公式。
